Welcome, Simply events has been organising handmade craft events since 2012. Every stall holders products are checked to ensure quality and that they have been hand made. We pride ourselves in only exhibiting the best crafters to ensure that our visitors get the best craft market experience possible.

2026 dates & venues…
‘Simply events’ are now looking to 2026 and can’t wait to get started on a fresh year of events. We are pleased to announce our 2026 dates, we have two events at Lavenham Village Hall this year, one in May and our fantastic Christmas event in November. We are also returning to Coggeshall Village Hall for our Autumn Craft Market and Clare Town Hall, The Old School at Long Melford and Foakes Hall in Dunmow for our Christmas Markets.

“I started silk painting and dyeing in 2002 whilst living in North Yorkshire where I attended Askham Bryan College for a 2 year course. The examiner bought my first painting and a local gallery stocked my silk scarves. I started experimenting with colour combinations whilst selling at local craft shows. We moved to Kent in 2015 and I joined Produced in Kent. Customers would suggest products for me to make or colour combinations so my range expanded. In 2026 we retired to Suffolk. However, I continue to dye finest quality Chinese Silk with steamfix dyes. They can be handwashed and washing instructions are included. I can dye to a customers request to match an outfit or something for a special occasion. All my silk products are individually dyed so no two pieces are the same.”

I really enjoyed today at Hadleigh and I have got home and my online shop at etsy, has had loads of views plus sold a few more pieces to people who were there today. So Cogs and Gems would like to thank you and can’t wait for your future event dates, thank you again.
I wanted to say how much I enjoyed doing the Lavenham craft fair. I have to admit at first I was concerned that there might not be as much footfall upstairs, but it was virtually busy all day, plus I had an excellent spot in the centre of the room, so thank you!
